RE: My Thriftiest Finds!

in #secondhand β€’ 9 months ago

WOWOWOW!! What an incredibly cool post 😍

I'd never see a vase with unique features and think "Huh, with some color these would make killer jewelry" total genius. They turned out fantastic!

The big book thing is really interesting too, there has to be a dozen of them in my dad's house from over the decades, I wonder what they all are worth 😱

I can't remember if I said the other day, but I've been planning to resell all my children's clothes on Ebay soon, it was funny that ebay got brought up between us... The universe be universing haha!

It's awesome to hear that the amp is good all these years later too, I swear things were made so much differently before... What a great score! Thank you so much for picking the contest for your monthly post !LADY πŸ’š I loved reading about some of your thrifty adventures and your fave finds!

Ohmygosh yes! You should really look at the Big Books' publishing dates & printing numbers. He might be sitting on a gold mine!

Good luck with the kids' clothes on eBay. Clothing was one thing that I never ventured into (though I've definitely purchased a TON of my own clothing secondhand. I used to pick up dashikis from the 70s any time I ran across them in thrift stores. I was such a happy hippie...). Mostly because I wasn't any good at recognizing fakes from the real deal, and non-designer clothing didn't bring enough to get me excited about trying to flip it. πŸ€‘

I know that sounds greedy, but I really did have to set a floor on how much something would sell for in order to be able to make a decent living. I have no idea how all the people who sell books on Amazon for a penny each manage to drag themselves out of bed and do it every day.

I was surprised to not see any other entries listed in the comments on your original post, though. Hopefully lots of folks will jump on board! Probably it's just because you gave them a whole month to get their entries in, so like me and my February post, they're procrastinating. πŸ˜†
