Thank you very much. My organ teacher (Michael Dudman - one of Australia's finest) emphasised the need for minimal movement at the console. This allows for maximum focus upon accuracy, phrasing, articulation and interpretation. Watching him play - which I was privileged to do many times - was a revelation. He hardly moved, even in the busiest of passages, and the music was just stunning. I still try to "channel" him, 40 years after my final lesson with him after 5 wonderful years!
