Gigout's Grand chœur dialogué is one of his best known organ works. The piece serves as the finale to his "6 Pièces d'orgue" (1881) in the typical French Romantic style. The structure of the piece allows the performer to contrast different divisions of the organ in an antiphonal effect. Here I use the Trompeta real 8' against the full Great and Swell of the Fleiter organ at the neo-gothic cathedral of Billerbeck in Germany. This is achieved using the Hauptwerk VPO software, sampled by Sonus Paradisi.
