Secrets of Organ Playing Challenge Week 153 Submission--Chorale Prelude on In Dulci Jubilo by Dieterich Buxtehude

Today's submission is a chorale prelude by Dieterich Buxtehude, the great North German organist and composer who J.S. Bach traveled to study with in Lubeck. It is an elaboration on the chorale In Dulci Jubilo (known in English as Good Christian Friends Rejoice). It is so elaborated upon that the original tune is hard to pick out at times. The elaborated part is played on one manual (I used a cornet setting on the Great Manual) over a three part contrapuntal accompaniment in the Swell (Principals 8 and 4' with 8' flute) and pedals (Flutes 16' and 8').

Lovely, nobody ever votes for my organ entries. Either because I'm a woman or because I'm from Lithuania...
