Security, Violence, and Inequality

in #security7 years ago

We were taught from shows and movies that the law had to catch the 'bad guy', apprehend the thief, and protect society from the lone predators. But why is there so much dysfunction in society that breeds the need to steal, beg, and otherwise humiliate oneself? When we think about it, we understand that so much of the thefts and crimes in the street are born out of poverty and the scars in being raised in a broken system. We're taught to fear the neighborhood thug while be amazed and awed at the gangsters, white collar tyrants, and military monsters living in high places. Petty, interpersonal scuffles and one-time assaults locally are demonized while systematic and entrenched theft, violence and impunity in high places are accepted as the necessary evils of power and international prestige.

The more police, guns, military, and weapons in world society is the sign and result of greater inequality, less trust, and scoundrels hiding in high places. The 'bad guys' are not the desperate, but the despots that dream of keeping us under their thumb. Someday we will all wake up,, maybe someday soon.

And evidence of deteriorating community, which is exactly what a statist government wants. Without a sense of belonging in families and communities, citizens are forced to depend only on the state.

Hopefully the bad guys will be exposed ... or continue to expose themselves!

Hello friend @clumsysilverdad, this is how they taught us from a young age that the law is the one that traps bad people, but unfortunately the theft is always going to happen, crime because not everyone has the happiness of being born in a good family that educates us with good principles . Others are unlucky to say so to grow in an environment where you see bad things and we have some that we conscientious and we go ahead doing things well but there are others who follow the bad examples and even worse. and as you say, some day not too far away, we will

thank you / great comments / peace (-:

Hollywood is owned by the top 1% who live in luxury, they decide which movies they want to put forward and brainwash the populace into thinking a certain way.

They associate a race with qualities of a certain character and tell people that this is what they are. People being people are easily brainwashed into this. We actually learn a lot from movies than at school and reject teachings at school over what we learn in the cinema.

This is how the top 1% control all of us (this seems like a conspiracy theory lol), they brainwash us into thinking something and make it believable by giving it real life aspect.

We more readily believe things that are communicated with an emotional, impactful content, it's true.

Oh yeah, emotional and shocking things tends to stay in our minds a lot.
