In a world of hackers and cryptos, it's wise to shield your crypto transactions through a VPN network. A VPN connection (which represents Virtual Private Network) gives a user secure and anonymous access to a network and makes the Internet on public networks safer. I will mention 3 VPN services in this article that offer their service (partly) for free. Free VPN connections often have a limitation. In most of the cases this is limited data usage. If you have a lot of cryptocurrency or you are doing many transactions, it might be wise to take a paid VNP network. For the beginning crypto investors is the free VNP network enough. In addition to a VPN network, I also recommend a virus scanner, firewall and malware scanner. With this set, a standard security package is complete. The free VPN networks are given below.

1. Cyberghost
Cyberghost has a so-called 'Free Service'. With the Free Service it's possible to connect to the free servers. There are enough servers to connect and you get the same data speed as paid users. Of course there're some limitations for this free VPN service, which are:
It is not allowed to download torrents, which is not allowed on any Cyberghost free server. On the other paid VPN, torrents download is allowed. But for crypto transactions no torrents are needed.
There's a waiting time when you connect to a server, you will have to wait at least 17 seconds while an ad appears. It may also be that the free servers are full, and then you will have to wait until a place is available
During the use of the software, you will see an advertisement every 120 minutes. In most cases, they offer to upgrade your account.
The connection can be used up to 3 hours in a row. Then you will need to manually re-connect.
Despite this limitations, I think this is one of the best free VPN networks.
2. Hide.me VPN
With the free subscription of Hide.me, the biggest limitation is that there is a data limit of 2 gigabytes per month. For normal use and crypto transactions this is more than enough. Another "limitation" is that you cannot use the optimal speed of the service, depending on the hassle on the server where you connect. Payment users get priority over the speed above free subscriptions. Even if this is the case, there is still 3Mbit/s.
Additionally, it is also possible to download torrents with the free subscription, which is not allowed with the 2 other free VPN providers. And of course there is good software for Windows, Mac, Android and the iPhone.
3. TunnelBear
TunnelBear also offers a free VPN variant of their service. The free subscription is called "Little" by TunnelBear. The free VPN service simply gives you access to all full speed servers. The service has a good privacy policy and the encryption and protocol used are all reliable.
Of course, this free version also has a restriction. This is only 1 limitation, but it is a very serious restriction. There is a restriction on using data for the free VPN service. Up to 500 MB of data may be used per month. When you promote the company on Twitter, you can get one more 500mb per month.
I hope these free VNP networks are usefull for you to protect you're cryptocurrency transactions. Don't forget to upvote, resteem and follow me if you like this post. Also check out my other post about why you should buy IOTA.

And thank you for the resteem @guarddog
VPN's are an important tool for privacy and online security. Just be wary of some free variants, as they may not be scrupulous. I have heard stories of some selling information or even pushing adds and malware. Just be wary.
