False sense of security

in #security7 years ago

I try to not travel for work, better for leisure... but sometimes I have to go outside. When I have to travel for work, as I usually go alone, I like to "play" a bit and test some things like security of sites like airports, train stations, ...

How? Simply, bringing a knife with me. Not a normal knife... a carbon made knife, exactly the one of the image:

By now, no one have detected this knife (airport, train station, police station

Yes, it is small one, but with this weapons, the important thing is knowing how to use it.

With this, you find that security can be bypassed with simple materials and cause real harm, you only need to think a bit and find that most of the security controls are not really effective. Some days ago I was talking to a man that was working in the security control of where I work, and I showed the knife, he told me he was working few years ago at the airport and certified me that security controls are, mainly, to catch stupid people; the smart ones are difficult to catch and with things like this, their task are more difficult and are, mainly, to give people a sense of security.

My intention? Try to be prepared... just in case.
