Today, I want to share how I became a millionaire after joining the SEEDS community, but it only lasted less than a week and the value of the SEEDS currency dropped to mere thousands in my domestic currency and the investors, couldn’t accept to buy it at the actual price.
I made a proposal that earned me 250,000 SEEDS after investing my time, money and knowledge in ensuring the proposal passed. At the time, I received the first two batches distribution of 125,000 SEEDS, the value of 1 SEED was $0.08. This was the first time I was owning a crypto worth 1 million Kenya Shillings, but immediately the value started depreciating as no investor was willing to buy the token for local fiat.
A few months back, around April when I joined, the value of 1 SEED was approximately $0.045 and the community were always willing to buy the token. Due to my activity in the community, I attracted the interest of a few members, and they would dash me SEEDS to my account for inviting new members to download the SEEDS Global Passport, build a SEEDS community in my region and exchange some for local fiat to help me in the process.
It continued for around two months, after which the Kenyan facilitator did a proposal for 3 communities in Kenya to sort out Internet Data bundles issues, mobile devices, and to continue onboarding. The value of SEEDS surged to a top price of $0.05 through to $0.09 where it currently stands, but the buyers of this token depreciated its value and exploited users by buying at a low of $0.04 downwards. This put fear in most Kenyan SEEDS community and I fell a victim of this circumstance. The fear was that the SEEDS token could depreciate to zero and that the experiment was likely to fail.
When I engaged with a few creators of this token, they strongly discouraged selling of SEEDS citing that the there was high supply and very low demand. Some of us had no option but to sell to pay off for the time and effort they had invested in onboarding new SEEDS users and leaving their jobs to join zoom meetings to learn more about SEEDS (which started as a very promising currency).
As days went, the value dropped, we were fully convinced we wouldn’t ever exchange the token for local fiat, but it was fun playing the game of SEEDS. A few days later a friend introduced me to TSWAP, I knew about Newdex and I also found out about Uniswap. These were the only platforms you could trade SEEDS but at a very low price. So we gathered a good amount of SEEDS from various members of the Kenyan SEEDS community and sold at a very poor price fearing that the token would eventually lose its value to zero.
Bad players of the Game of SEEDS
When I realized some of my community members were using this platform to benefit their selves and they would give false information to get help through SEEDS, I immediately realized there were so many loopholes and abuse of trust in the Ecosystem. I did not come in with the same intentions, however, I wanted to help the SEEDS community to grow, my own community to benefit and myself to grow. I swore that I would help these three select groups regardless of the repercussions that would follow.
To explain a little, there are people who abused the system and the trust of the community before I came in and I was confident about this. When I did my first proposal, I had onboarded so many people that it was best for my region to have a regional bank, so we would complete all our transactions and activities as a micro lending institution in SEEDS. My intention was to promote SEEDS as an alternative currency, the SEEDS Community as the offshoots of this financial ecosystem and platform as the best for individuals and businesses to consider for growth.
Where supply surpassed demand
Where I come from, rarely do someone take his/her time in something that won’t pay off. So, we would do our best to advise them of the good practices of the SEEDS ecosystem, but only a fraction would put them to action. At the same time, people looked for ways to sell seeds to meet their immediate needs which was not the initial intention of the SEEDS ecosystem. I must admit my people (community) wanted to see the benefits of their efforts and time. I saw dead hopes, and forsaken wills and I became the bad one. I had abused the hopes and wills of my community. Everyone went mute and never wanted to hear anything about SEEDS except a few people.
New players restoring hopes in different communities
The people labelled bad actors, including myself took a break and reduced their activities in the Game of SEEDS, while new players came in to restore hopes. A good number of communities have joined up and formed organizations to push for community work and development. Some members have been able to get recognition as role models and even rewarded as good players. My hope is to see the experiment go live so I can become a millionaire again. My harvest if SEEDS go live any day with the value of 1 SEED at $0.80 will be worth $15,000 which is equivalent to 1.5 million Kenya Shillings.
I can’t wait to be a millionaire again with the Game of SEEDS.
