We all know how important self-confidence is and we admire people who posses it, but what happens when you lack this desirable trait?
The good news is that it doesn't have to be like this for your whole life, you can teach yourself to become self-confident.
The bad news is that it takes some time, and along the way you might experience several setbacks :(
The only way you can fail is if you give up. Here's a 5 steps to help you emerge as a better version of you:
Step 1) Learn how to manage your failures
Those who are self-confident don't beat themselves down when they make a mistake, they just take a step back and analyse what happened so they can come up with a fix.
Step 2) You should never compare yourself to others
Nothing good will come up if you keep comparing yourself to others. Having a self-confidence problem to start with, your comparison is biased, so you will most probably exacerbate the differences which will make you feel bad. Instead you should concentrate on ways to improve.
Step 3) Don't run from your fears
Whatever it is that you fear, you should not run from it or pretend it's not real. Take baby steps if necessary, however you need to step out of your comfort zone and deal with the problem.
Step 4) Get in shape!
Being fit will help tremendously on your journey to become self-confident. Give jogging a try, a good run will leave you feeling full of energy and reduce the level of stress hormones.
Step 5) Take care of how you dress
When you put care in the way you dress, you'll notice an instant boost in your self-confidence levels. If you don't have great clothing tastes, then just ask a good friend for advice.
