Recently took a 2000 km road trip, unplanned and unorganized. It was one of the most exciting and the fun filled things I have done in my life. It feels so good to just do something based on intuition.
Uncertainty is the only thing that is certain on this planet. Life is very uncertain and keeps on throwing curve balls so the best way to live life is embracing this uncertainty and living life the way it was meant to be lived i.e. with unpredictability.
Now this doesn’t mean we stop planning anything and keep on taking every decision in life according to our instincts and stop thinking all together. But the gist is that we should be flexible in life sometimes do things that we don’t anticipate or fancy. The feeling of accomplishing something that is unheard of, or something that normal people don’t do is beyond satisfactory.
Sitting and pondering leads to nothing but regret and remorse. Sometimes, it’s just great to close your eyes and go for it. Taking that leap of faith often leads to results that we never thought we can achieve it.
“Courage and willingness to just go for it, whether it is a conversation or a spontaneous trip, or trying new things is a very attractive quality" -Alanis Morissette
I and my roommate wanted to go on this trip, we were planning to take his car but the engine light came on just before we were about to leave. Also, the spare tire was punctured so we debated going or not. At this point we had to decide if we want to take the risk and go for it or not.
We decided to take a leap of faith and go for it and decided we will see what happens. Fortunately, nothing happened everything worked out well and we had a great time. This is something I will cherish for a long time as it gave me the belief that I can do things that look hard and faced with adversity I can just go with the flow and handle situations as and when they arise.
