I think of affirmations more like mental programming. Or flashcards for the soul. The idea behind that is, if you use them all the time, then when a situation occurs that you need them, they’re your go to. If you say “I can do this” often enough, maybe it’ll become so automatic that when you think, “This is too big for me, I can’t do this,” you’ll follow it up with “I can do this.”
