Sepia Saturday Water Tanks

Happy Saturday everyone and as it is Saturday time for a Sepia Saturday post for the challenge hosted by @old-guy-photos.
This is a challenge I enjoy joining i love how Sepia Images have a sort of timeless feel to them, well not always as my post of people last week showed, cellphones give away that it is a more recent photo, however thats not the case with this post simages

One thing I noticed when I first came to work in NYC, was all the water tanks in view all over the city on top of buildings, it is somehtign I had not seen before, and many buildings have not only one but more on the roof such as the two in this first shot.

And some have three as can be seen here with the fourth one on another building, I understand they are needed in high rise buildings to give pressure to the water flow in the building, which makes sense and I guess why I had not seen them before I had never lived in a city with lots of high rise buildings

And this last shot the tank has a little style with the stick figures on it, and is complimented with the cool clock

Hello @tattoodjay, happy Saturday, I must commend you for those original photos, those water tanks are eyes catching and scenic in nature.

Your camera 📷 is powerful.

Is it weird that I thought of the buildings as motherboards, and the towers as resistors, and transistors?

Anyway...

Awesome pictures my friend; looking at these lets you realize they sure dont build anything like they used to. The brickwork in the first photo is amazing. And the sepia does indeed accentuate the "cool points" in my opinion... Always enjoy seeing your posts; have a wonderful rest of your Saturday!!

Its really cool clock and nice sepia water tanks photography.

Great pictures! I wonder if the water tanks are unique to New York, or if they are also common in another cities (I haven't seen them in Toronto - also, I haven't really look for them, either). My favourite of this collection is the first picture with beautiful decoration on the top of the wall, and the last one.

Sepia works well with the water tanks....

Wow! Amazing shots you´ve got... your images looked so vintage, I love them all.

Thanks Kindly, thats what I was going for

That clock is pretty awesome! Thanks for sharing these. The second edited one is really nice!

Thanks for your visit and feedback, that clock and tower work so well together i think Make the area quite fun if that makes sense

Howdy JJ! Very interesting shots there, I've never seen that either but it makes sense as to the reason why. I especially like that clock.

The water tanks are something i have been so interested in since coming to the city, maybe because i had never seen them before

yes I understand. Well, I had seen them in lots of tv shows and movies but I didn't know what they were for, I didn't know they were water tanks! Now I'll notice them even more when I see them on tv.

I am the same when I watch shows base din NYC I am looking for the tanks and places I may not have been

ahhh..yes and they still film alot of shows in New York? Like detective shows and such? So if you see some interesting areas you can say hey I gotta check that place out! lol. I never thought about that.

Yeah but to be honest I know the city so well now its very seldom I see something i have not seen on the shows, but it has lead me to some shows when I see them being filmed

Oh how interesting, so they are still filming alot in the city? It seems like that would be a big hassle for everyone involved!
