I JUST FOUND A EASTER EGG IN SECOND SEASON OF MR. ROBOT

in #series8 years ago (edited)

So in the first episode of the second season of Mr. Robot this terminal appears:

Wait, did they really explicit put this IP there?

So i launched my terminal and tried to look at this IP.

It gave me an address: http://i254.bxjyb2jvda.net/

I got hyped as f*ck lol, what is in this address you may ask?

A representation of a ransomware!

So, i inspected element with chrome and i got this message into the site html:

Damn, i was just happy as a kid, i didn't find anything more, so i just searched in google about this easter egg and some persons found it days before lol.

And it has more about it!

So people in the internet found this code in the page:

'PGRpdiBjbGFzcz0ib3ZlciI+PGRpdj4iSSBzaW5jZXJlbHkgYmVsaWV2ZSB0aGF0IGJhbmtpbmcgZXN0YWJsaXNobWVudHMgYXJlIG1vcmUgZGFuZ2Vyb3VzIHRoYW4gc3RhbmRpbmcgYXJtaWVzLCBhbmQgdGhhdCB0aGUgcHJpbmNpcGxlIG9mIHNwZW5kaW5nIG1vbmV5IHRvIGJlIHBhaWQgYnkgcG9zdGVyaXR5LCB1bmRlciB0aGUgbmFtZSBvZiBmdW5kaW5nLCBpcyBidXQgc3dpbmRsaW5nIGZ1dHVyaXR5IG9uIGEgbGFyZ2Ugc2NhbGUuIjwvZGl2PjxkaXYgY2xhc3M9ImF1dGhvciI+LSBUaG9tYXMgSmVmZmVyc29uPC9zcGFuPjwvZGl2PjwvZGl2Pg=='

Which transforming to a understandable text using base64 you get this:

"I sincerely believe that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies, and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale."

  • Thomas Jefferson

So there is a lot of sites that got really far from where i got, but this was so cool, you can see almost everything in this site

I just love this! I love Mr. Robot even more now!
