I don't understand why people participate in this. If you can add some explanation, it would be great :) I see a ton of people adding completely meaningless, boring pictures in these challenges, seemingly thinking that a B&W filter will make it artsy. But the pictures are neither thought provoking, cool, or pretty. More often than not they are simply dull. Note that this is not pointed towards your pic, it is just a general observation :) So what is the idea behind this challenge?

I totally agree with your statement! But where are many good black and white photographs! I participated as well and I think the main reasons are:

• To make better pictures each day
• create content more continualy
  And someone so I think want only to get more followers. And they propably create less qualitative content..

That makes sense, especially the point about getting better each day. If the pictures are meaningful, it makes a ton of sense.

Why do people participate? I don't know. But I can tell you what my point on this is.
Overcoming laziness. I would love to post more and somehow express myself and save everything for my grandchildren in the blockchain if they one day are interested in it. I am doing this because I don't have got so many moments of my dad. But I am too lazy sometimes. :)

Meaningless... yeah... maybe... I don't know if my grandchildren will give a damn about that but it is fun to pick out the pictures which mean a lot to me. Another reason is I got nominated for this challenge and I just want to have fun in this community. I got nominated so I said yes to it ^_^

I think you misunderstood :) I didn't say that your pics where meaningless. I just meant that a lot of people take a photo of a jug of milk and expect it to mean something :) That is what sorta confuses me

Hmm... maybe a jug of milk mean something for them. Maybe art in their eyes. I don't know. Really hard to judge. But I got your point ;D

Tolles Bild. Sowas ähnliches haben meine Frau und ich auch :D. Ich glaube ist so ein Standard Motiv. xD
