what is Menopause?
What do you know about sex after Menopause?
Dictionary
the ceasing of menstruation.
the period in a woman's life (typically between the ages of 45 and 50) when menstruation ceases.
Menopause is a normal condition that all women experience as they age. The term "menopause" can describe any of the changes a woman goes through either just before or after she stops menstruating, marking the end of her reproductive period.
Well, Lets start by this,Menopause does not signal the end of female sexuality. In fact, many women find that intimacy is enhanced in midlife.
I have heard several stories about sexuality and Menopause but many women fear that menopause signals the end of their sexual desirability and pleasure. This fear comes from stereotypes of the midlife and older woman as unattractive and asexual. In addition, loss of the ability to bear children may become confused with loss of sexual desirability.
Without Much ado, i will quickly discuss what relationship exist between menopause and sexuality, The reality is that the need for and capacity to have satisfying sexual relationships does not disappear as a natural or irreversible part of aging in women or men. Paula Doress-Worters, co-author of The New Ourselves, Growing Older and The New Our Bodies, Ourselves, "there is no reason to think that women in midlife should necessarily have problems with sexuality."
Though, menopause does bring physiologic changes which may lead to slow down response time and affect sexual activity in a variety of ways, at least 70% to 80% of women do not experience a reduction in sexual activity or satisfaction. And for those who do, there are safe, effective solutions.
However you perceive and deal with the physiological changes talked about in the last paragraph can have a significant impact on your sexual health and pleasure. Some women have a reawakening of sexual interest when they are no longer concerned about getting pregnant and adult or older children require less time and attention. However, there is tremendous individual variation in women's experiences.

Interesting subject you chosen to post for us. The information that you have provided for us should help a little for those that read this.
Life does not end at forty or fifty. Many living today will live to be a hundred years old or more.
Fifty years without sexual activity would be a long time.
