INFERTILITY
Infertility is the inability of a couple to become pregnant ( regardless of cause) after 1 year of unprotected sexual intercourse.
It is said to occur when :
A woman under 35 has not conceived after 12 months of contraceptive free intercourse (CFI).
A woman over 35 has not conceived after 6 months of CFI
Women who can get pregnant but are unable to stay pregnant may also be infertile.

egg is released from a woman during ovulation
Egg moves through the fallopian tube to the uterus
Sperm deposited by man swims to meet the egg
The fertilized egg attach to the endometrium of uterus
Implantation occurs
However, disruption of any of these steps leads to Infertility issues.
Infertility is a common problem in both sexes.
CAUSES OF INFERTILITY IN MEN
Infertility in men is often caused by a problem called Varicocele. This occurs when the vein on a male testicle is too large. This heat up the testicles and affects the number or shape of the sperm.
Sexually transmissible infections
Sometimes injury to the reproductive system block the sperm.
Birth defects. This is problem associated during development of an embryo.
FACTORS THAT INCREASE INFERTILITY IN MALE
Too much Alcohol
Taking Drugs and Smoking cigarettes
Toxins from environment e.g. pesticides, Lead
Health challenges like Mumps, kidney disease or hormone imbalance
Age
Medicine
Exposure to some radioactive materials.
