If people insist on being stupid, then let them. I told a friend of mine about the benefits of Steem, as in, being able to chat online with me just like we were doing at the time - and getting paid to do that. But he said he'd go to work if he needed money.
WTF? Have you seen the movie Idiocracy? The main character is a man of average intelligence in our time. He is sent 500 years into the future. The average level of intelligence has sunk to an abysmal depth. In that time, he is a genius compared to just about anybody. Now, his best friend in the future, a pretty dull guy by modern standards, says "Unbelievable, I like money, too." when he meets his new friend for the first time. That was a funny line in 2006 when the movie came out. But I'm not so sure about 2017 ...
