Oh this is such a wonderful story! I love the meta nature of the narration. I feel like you do still have your frog alive and well, only it has evolved from just eating flies to making do with whatever you feed him. Goes to show how resourceful you were in terms of crafting this delightful story. That hook at the end really made me chuckle, too. Great work!
