With the transfer market heating up and potential moves for Alexis Sanchez, Henrikh Mikhataryan, Aubamayeng, Walcott and many more names still to come, it might make sense to hand on to that wildcard until the business is concluded.
Machester City finally lost a game this season, falling to the hands of Liverpool last week in what potentially could be named as the game of the season! The top 4 race is also heating up now with Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs showing some consistent results of late. Arsenal however, have seemed to drop of the pace a bit.
Gameweek 24 on paper looks like a fixture that could promise plenty of points as Chelsea face Brighton, Liverpool face Swansea, Spurs take on Southampton and Manchester City take on Newcastle.
Let's get into the detail below:
3 Week Outlook
West Ham- The Hammers have been unbelievable under David Moyes and with Bournemouth(h), Palace(h) and Brightin(a) in the next 3 the Hammers will be looking for strong performances which will see them sit comfortably in the top 10! Quite unbelievable considering where they've come from.
Liverpool- Klopp's men have really kicked into gear now and with Swansea, Huddersfield and Spurs at home in the next 3, they would really be looking to make their top 4 push concrete!
Leicester City- A team that i believe will start producing good results in the coming week is Leicester City, looking more like a unit under Puel with 2 home fixtures against Watford and Swansea in the next 3 and an away trip to Everton inbetween they could be getting some good points.
One's to Watch
Callum Wilson- As far as striking differentials go Calum Wilson could be one you want to put in, ranked 2nd to Harry Kane in recent weeks in terms of shots in the box and touches in the box, also bagging 3 goals and 1 assist in he's last 4 Callum is really starting to look like a consistent threat.
Sadio Mane- Liverpool's key man last season struggled for a bit this season, but in recent weeks since Coutinho's absence he is now looking like the Mane we know. With 2 brilliant goals in his last 2, Mane could turn it up in the next few weeks.
Paul Pogba- The united midfielder is finally back and producing, with 4 assists in his last 2 Pogba is due a goal. Having not scored since gameweek 12, the midfielder is bound to get one soon enough.
Captain Picks
Harry Kane- yes, i know! He's name is on the list, week in, week out, but can you ignore Harry Kane? Last time out against Southampton he bagged a hatrick and he will be looking for more!
Riyad Mahrez- The Algerian is thriving under Puel, having scored 4 goals in his last 4 games against Watford, he is likely to produce against them again. He has returned points in 8 of the last 10 gameweeks so definitely a choice this week.
Roberto Firminho- Everytime he has faced the Swans he has produced double digit returns, that's a difficult one to look past considering his form and Liverpools form of late.
Sergio Aguero- Sergio Aguero averages a goal every 49 minutes against Newcaste and infact every 31 minutes against Newcastle at home! Now that's an unbelievable stat and cannot be ignored if you have him in your team!
Plenty of captain options this week in what potentially could be a very high scoring gameweek!
