Don't know the name of the technology but you can get the same result by putting a garden hose curled in the middle of a large hot compost pile - or a limited amount of hot water from a garden hose laid out in the summer sun on concrete. A thermal flask it could definitely be called. Solar heating essentially. The storage container is the variable.
