Hey guys this is chapter 1 of my new Shawn Mendes fanfiction, its about an girl called Danni who is an aspiring actress who gets a job on a music video, its the video of there's nothing holding me back, when Shawn and Danni meet they feel something they may of never felt before ...
Danni’s POV
“Bye see you soon!” I say to my roommate and my best friend Harper. I can’t wait to get on this plane and kickstart my career in acting.
We finally land after a 6 hour flight to Canada, I get to baggage claim and pick up my pink and blue suitcase and wait for Shawn to pick me up. Shawn is the guy who I’m doing the music video with I started listening to his music as soon as I got the offer for the music video for his new song “There’s nothing holding me back” he’s is a really talented guy and I cant wait to meet him!
Shawn arrives after 5 minutes and we jump into his car after he takes a few pictures with his fans. He tells me that we have the next two days free before we start shooting the video.
Shawn turns the radio on and I instantly hear recognisable voice and tune Shawn turns up and I realise that its his hit song “Mercy”
We start singing at the top our lungs. The song ends and we both laugh completely out of breath.
“Do you want to get starbucks with me?” Shawn asks
“Sure”
We park at Starbucks, Shawn reaches for my hand and we walk in together.
“Hi what can I get for you both?” The employee asks
“ Can I get a small latte” I say
“And for you” she asks Shawn
“ Can I get a mocha and a blueberry muffin”
Before I can even reach for my purse Shawn already has his card in the reader
“Shawn, you should of let me pay, really, you already gave me a job!”
“What can I say I’m a gentleman” he smirks
We grab our coffee and his muffin and we sit down in a booth.
“ So, how are you” Shawn asks as if we had known each other forever
“ Great, how about you”
“ Feeling great tour starts in two months and I cant wait to start and now I’m shooting a video for my single thats doing well with a really beautiful girl”
I cant help but to blush and smile I can tell Shawn is looking at me. We finish our starbucks and we walk around town. Shawn takes me to this beautiful park we walk to the lake and sit down on the beautiful oak bench.
“ Are you excited for the video Danni?”
“Im so excited for this its my first proper acting job!”
I can tell we are both thinking the same thing, maybe this isn’t acting. We just have this connection that whenever we are together we always know what to say and when it is silent, it isn’t awkward at all its one of those silences that you wish could last forever. We may only have known each other for 3 hours but I can tell its going to last a lot longer.
“ We should head back we are both staying in the same hotel its near set we have the day free tomorrow to prepare for the video, the shoot starts the day after”
“Lets go then”
We get in the car and after about 15 minutes we arrive at the hotel. When Shawn said we were staying in the same hotel I didn’t realise he meant in the same room.
The room is huge we have two double beds one big bathroom and a living space this could be an apartment!
I put my suitcase down by my bed take my pyjamas into the bathroom I lock the door and have a hot shower taking in everything that has happened. I get out the shower and get changed. I do my skin care routine and come out the bathroom to see shawn standing there with his phone.
“What are you doing?”
“Timing you, you literally took half an hour in the shower what were you doing in there !”
“uhh showering” I say in a tone that makes me sound stupid. We both laugh at my comment he goes into the bathroom to take a shower and I go and sit in my bed to text Harper
D- hey whats up??
H- every things great how about you?
D- its more than amazing, I think like Shawn and I think he might like me to
H- NO WAYYYY IM GONNA BE THE BEST MAID OF HONOUR EVAAA
D-calm down we’ve only known each other for a day
H- what the hell are you doing talking to me go and talk to himmm
D- fineee talk soon ! :)

“who’s making you smile so much ?” Shawn asks eager to know what it was
“ It was my best friend harper she thinks we are going to get married she’s crazy but thats why I love her”
“ Thats so funny she sounds great and who knows maybe one day her prediction will become a reality” he says with the most amazing smirk
I cant help but to laugh. We end up ordering pizza from Shawn’s favourite pizza place we start to watch vampire diaries on Netflix together.
