RE: A Shirt on Sunday: Hard Rock Hell 2019 - Great Yarmouth

I'd have preferred the event to be in Sheffield, where I've seen a few HRH weekends. However, the USP requires the on-site accommodation, so the these holiday parks are the thing. It would be okay if the parks had venues fit for the purpose, but they don't. That said, I've never been to one of these parks except for the two events this year, so there may be umpteen of them around the UK that I just don't know about.

Janet commented that I seem to come back from HRH events buzzing certain bands but seldom the headliners, and generally having had a positive time. So maybe I just write everybody down, but Zodia was a definite disappointment as used to be very well regarded.

I've not been to a holiday park in a long time. I have a memory of staying at Butlins in Skegness when I was a kid and I'm sure that had a proper theatre. I would think some of the older ones might have better stages. Smaller parks will get by with the minimum they can. We did go to a park in Walton on the Naze where some friends had a caravan and their hall looked a lot like this one you show. They had seen the show there many times, but it wasn't my thing.
