We recently visited Harrods for an afternoon tea; what we came away with? We can only recommend it ! But if you are bothered by "capitalism" , than maybe not because; THIS IS IT :) :)
A few fun facts before we start with the pics:
More than 1,000,000 square feet of floor space
Once a cobra was used to guard a pair of sandals worth £62,000 due to the diamonds and sapphires embedded in them.
On an average day, approximately 100,000 people come to shop at Harrods. (during Christmas??? a lot more ~300.000)
It takes 12,000 light bulbs to illuminate the famous facade of the store
The three mile square area of Kensington and Knightsbridge which surrounds the store is known as the Tiara Triangle.
It's rumoured that 60% of Harrods customers live within this well-to-do Tiara Triangle.NO GOOGLE GLASSES :) :) :) This is my favourite; as per guidelines: "For security reasons, we may politely ask customers wearing Google Glasses to remove them while in areas where we do not allow photography."
It probably has the most interesting drop down menu (What would you choose?):
And the pics:
Our plate :) :)
Thank you for reading and all as usual :)
