First three days after they had met in the bus, Mr. Bush took Ratty to expensive places and made him sleep with korean models he'd never expected to meet his entire life.
Life became more accommodative until his birthday night when they had met an old woman down town drunk and almost unconscious by the junction inside her tinted Benz E350.
First Mr. Bush wanted to silently steal her car until she woke and threatened to apprehend them. Mr. Bush annoyingly ordered Ratty to shoot the old woman or be shot by his other boys who pointed their blazing Automag pistols.
He denounced conscience, shouted like a broken man as he rained three bullets on her stomach and chest.
The whole scene lasted for few minutes but those were the longest moments of his life. Sometimes he had nightmares of it and most times he imagined himself dying that way.
But what is life without memories of failures twined between fears and nemesis. His whole life flaunts thuggish characters and irresponsibility but no one saw him for who he truly is, not even his dad who always called him a thug.
Ever since that incident, Ratty has lived every night walking through the streets talking to himself. Speaking affirmations to fill the emptiness within him.
So today, Ratty urged Pete to feel the feeling of being a murderer. He firmly plunge his rifle ready to shoot Pete and everyone saw it in his eyes. The pains and thirst of frustrations.
