Hello Steemit-ites
My name is Dónal Logue. I was born in Canada, my parents are from County Kerry, Ireland, and I grew up in small towns on the Mexican Border (Nogales, Arizona and El Centro, California). I was steered to Steemit by my friend, Ben Lee, and am excited by the prospect of this new platform of expression.
I'm primarily an actor, but what I really love is to write stories. 
My hope is to share them here with you on Steemit.

There's lots to like here; I think the real wins for high profile folk are the lack of censorship and trolls.
I imagine it's difficult, being a creative person and in movies.
Not everything you create is going to be appropriate for a full blown motion picture (or album)
It's been great to see some of the old stuff Ben's rummaged up.

One of the first hurdles is knowing who to follow.
The New tab is completely unfiltered, and Trending tends to be a lot of shop talk.
Ben's been here a while, so he's done some combing through to get a quality feed. You can 'steal' it and see steemit as he does, here.

You'll need it less and less as you build your own feed, but it's a great place to start.

YES!! I have enjoyed your face a time or two! SO glad to see you here. You have a stalker in me. Cheers! Welcome.
I’m going to work tirelessly not to have a completely fanboy geek out here, but you are aware how inconceivable it is to my mind (and brain and however they interact), that “Ben Lee, who I spoke with personally about his music, awared me of my favorite character from my favorite meaningful sub-plot in one of my favorite movies.
I’ve always enjoyed “The Patriot” mainly for the acting all around, notwithstanding all the historical innscruacies in the movie.
But my favored sub-plot, far and away, is your character Scott’s evolving relationship with Occam.
It doesn’t take up a lot of screen time, but I think it’s an essential sub-plot, explaining the bigger, underlying issue that was always just beyond the horizon throughout the Revolution, and you all hit your parts perfectly, so much that the scene’s always stayed with me.
The moment when your characater reads that notice about slaves being granted freedom and you ask the slave what he’s going to do with freedom, for me, ranks up there with the scene in Cold Mountain at the Battle of the Crater where the African American Man and Native American man are fighting and pause for a moment to look at each other as if to say “What are we doing here fighting and dying for this, against each other?”
Your subplot in The Patriot is the “pre-quel” to that moment, and the flip side side of the coin, angering the “why are we fighting” question with “freedom.”
So yeah, I guess I did a poor job of not geeking out.

Finally got my Steemit account so I can re-read your stories without searching through your facebook for them. I could read your stuff all day. Looking forward to your new stuff!
