Andreas Antonopoulis really likes to use Venezuela as an example when talking about the virtues of bitcoin (And that is in fact how I came to learn about the situation over there in the first place). Can't inflate bitcoin, unlike the virtually worthless bolivars their government keeps printing.
As far as guns are concerned, I'm sure Venezuelans can still purchase them, albeit on the blackmarket. With bitcoin ;)
