Today i am posting some of my 1 oz silver rounds collections. There are different designs like The hunter, lamb of God, the Indian Head, etc
So what is the difference between a silver round and coin?
A silver round is issued by a private mint and does not have legal tender value at the back.
A silver coin like the panda and koala i posted last time has legal tender value. So technically you can use it to purchase things. But no one would do that as the silver content is more valuable than the dollar value written on the coin
On the left is the back of a Koala coin . It has $1 written on it and a panda with 10 yuan on it

hi milend, the koala can be use to pay for 1 dollar worth , but no one would do that as it cost nearly 30 dollars. Crypto is more convenient for payments than Gold/silver

Silver Rounds can have really cool designs on them. Do you have any tips for how to tell if the coin is legitimate? That's probably one of my biggest areas of concern. How do you know what they're selling you is legit? And how will I prove to someone else that it's legit if I want to sell it?
Good question, there are some fake coins for sure and you need to be concerned especially when buying online. There is a machine to check if the coins are real, i sometimes borrow from a dealer or a mint shop when i visit because the machine costs a lot. But to be safe, only buy from reputable dealer

Panda one is still my favorite there is no way of choosing a coin over that :)
its a good collection to HODL on to wow nice things but never trade it hahah :D
