2017 is the year Queen Elizabeth II reaches her 60th year on the throne. And to commemorate the occasion the Royal Mint is releasing a collection of 10 coins featuring beasts from myth and legend.

I've really enjoyed collecting this series of 2oz Silver coins and this (soon to be released) is the 4th in the collection.

So far we've had.............

The Lion of England.

The Griffin of Edward.

The Dragon of Wales.

And now the latest release from the Royal Mint.............

The Unicorn of Scotland.

I think you'll agree it's another beautifully crafted coin. However it isn't on sale yet at the normal dealers. So If you do want one you can buy them from the the Royal Mint although they are a whopping £85 for a proof coin, and that's for the 1oz not the 2oz.

I'm happy to wait until they are released to the dealers so I can get them for just above spot price around £45.
