In 2007, the US Mint was selling these magnificent Modern Commemorative Silver Dollars, for $35-$40 (USD), Brilliant - Uncirculated & Proof, each. Today, the LCS, let them go for $20, each. It can cost as much as $35, per coin, to have them graded. Everything else, in the LCS, had the otherwise high premium. Junk, US Half-Dollars, were $12.50 each, and not much selection. At a final mintage of, about 81,000 vs 263,000, The BU is rarer than the Proof. With a 90% Silver content, they weigh in at about,0.7736 Troy Ounce. Identical weigh as US Morgan & Peace Silver Dollars.
