Well, actually a lot of a premium.
I snagged this tiny bar note locally, the dealer had a stack of about 100 of them, and I definitely wanted to take them all home,but the premium is so high, I settled on having 1 in my stack.
It's a karatbars note. If you don't remember karatbars, they are some kind of MLM group, with a lot of controversy around them. I dont see them often any more around here.
As you can see it has a tiny 0.1 gram Nadir bar in the note.
Sweet imagery in my opinion. I'll buy more if I find them at a reasonable price.

He also issued a Crypto to compliment his product. KBC, I don't know if it still exists or have achieved shit coin status. I have four of these notes so far. Kind of a dull design, so I put on a Jolly to make it more interesting.
I recall getting these from Silvergoldbull.
The website is down now, it was a German company. However using Gold as Currency is difficult, you can hardly give people Gold, and if they buy it often it gets lost. Especially small coins that can go missing. What people need is financial literacy, so they can at least balance their budget and know the difference between assets and liabilities. Gold is good if you buy it for long term accumulation, but not as Currency yet. Maybe soon, or one day.

I wish the company was good. Because it was originally a way to get gold and silver into people's hands at fixed rates. But, greed seems to take over some folks.

Definitely grab some if you can, they're very cool. But don't pay crazy ebay premiums... in reality it has $12 usd worth gold. But still awesome.
I used to promote these but it was hard to convince anyone to buy gold in 2015 when the fraud news was telling ppl that "investors weren't sure with what gold was backed by", despite it tripling since.
These were available for a short while from silvergoldbull where I snapped up four of these for fun. They're not very recognizable therefore I'd expect very limited use. Though the Nadir name is a legit gold product, anyone looking up Karatbars founder Harold Seiz will get that scamy vibe.
Make for a great conversation piece.

Harold Seiz of Karatbarz is now in Thailand (some say)! People wonder if they would ever see their money again. Gives a bad name to gold dealers. It is always crucial to educate yourself about investment alternatives.
I like the idea though: actual gold.
