Score from a thrift shop.

Folks

It's Saturday, so that means I'm out urban treasure hunting. All summer I hit up garage sales and all year I hit up thrift shops. Been skunked so far with garage sales, but scored good today at Value Village.

I was looking in the display case for jewelry and spotted this box.

I knew immediately that it was a proof set. But when I opened it and saw that it was a .925 sterling set, I said, "I'll buy this". I mean look at the price.

$30 CAD, or 83 SOL, for 50 grams .925 silver with a proof loonie and penny...
I love treasure hunting.

So far this is I think my best, or at least coolest thrift find this year.

Score my friend!🤗
Now I’m going to have to talk to Mrs. into going to value Village Lol!😇

Thrift hunting for gold, silver, and vintage video games is one of my favorite things.

Almost talked to Mrs. into going to Goodwill today!🥰
Last trip we picked up a sterling silver bowl that had about 8 ounces of silver !🤗👍

Absolutely, we have found several pieces of sterling at Goodwill over the years!😇👍

Pennies don't exist.

That sure was an awesome find... Way to go...

Cool, really cool!!! Yoi scored there, @fat-elvis!

80% of my wardrobe along with my Treasure Chest collection came from Thrift stores. My local Value Village has coins in the case every once in a while but hardly silver. When there were, they were far over spot. A good score @fat-elvis

The scores are few and far between anymore. About 10 years ago I was always snagging gold jewelry for just a couple bucks. Now they price over spot almost all the time.

They're on to us.

Nice score!

Sweet set to find! But 83 SOL? …think you’ve lost a decimal broski

Peruvian soles.

That is one sweet find! It's getting to hard to find any silver in thrift any more!
