Dear Hivers,
Just a quickie of another weird coin.
In Germany they are made by Haribo and called gummi-bären if I am right (gummi bears) and we all know hof fond Germans are of gummi....
Apparantly they are called gold bears in English which explains the idea to make a Samoa "gold" coin of 1 Oz AG......huh???
AG is silver , that means it is a guilded silver coin.
But it gets even stranger as there is also a coloured set of 6:
I already see kids eating them and ruin their teeth on a silver coloured piece of metal.

I like those. I looked into the cost of getting some here, it was way out of my comfort zone! But, I did grow up eating haribo!
Sweet!
Being second generation German/Austrian/Hungarian I grew up on gummi candy!😀
Silver gilded in colors...hmmm...still Silver my friend!!!😀
