I have to wonder...

You wouldn't believe how many tiny particles of Gold Dust it takes, just to make one of the small clumps of dried gold dust...

I let them dry in an old coffee filter I had handy...

At first, most of the tiny particles when right through the coffee fillter, but after a while, they began to collect, the more times I poured the wet ones through...

The Coffee Filter is still loaded with tiny dried particles of Gold Dust...

The ones that collected in the filter that came off are the ones you see...

Yes, finding untold Billions of tiny particles of Gold Dust, was a total surprise to me...

Knowing how easy it is to break them free, is also a Big Plus...

All I used was White Vinegar, some distilled Water and a Metal Plate, along with a Coffee Filter...

Awesome Discovery...10.jpg
This is how it looked when it was stll wet...

Notice how small the tiny yellow ones are...

Anyway...

The angle of the light sure makes a lot of interested shapes show up...

When I Zoom in, this version shows up better on my Cell Phone...

Could this be what the Old Timers were calling Chocolate Quartz...???

The Rich Gold Samples that came from the Lost Breyfoggle Mine claimed the Gold was in what they were calling Chocolate Quartz...

I have to wonder...

I wonder about a lot of things...

I've been doing it as far back as I can remember...

I'm still wondering about all those Clumps of Gold Dust...

I put what I'm now calling my Chocolate Quartz Rock back into some Distilled Vinegar to see if it has the same reaction as my original Heavy Brown Rock...

It does have a Chocolate look about it...

Below, shows what my Dried Clumps of Gold Dust looks like...

Chocolate is delicious in any presentation and in this one even more so, the gold dust makes it look spectacular. I congratulate you again for your discovery.
I wish you a happy day.

I'm still experimenting with this one... So far, the Vinegar hasn't turned blue like the other Rock... This one appears to be loaded, but I just can't tell for sure yet...

If you never told us that this is Gold, I would have thought it was a chocolate

So, there's probably a good chance, this is what they were calling Chocolate Quartz... It makes me think I may have found the "Lost Breyfoggle Mine...

Looking for the day you turn it into something they looks more like gold lol

I take it, you don't think my Clumps look like Gold...??? I'm sure it would look more like Gold if they were Melted... About 20 years ago, I tossed out everything I once used to do my Fire Assays... The only way the Dried Clumps will look the way you want to see them, is if I Melt them... It probably takes millions of Microscopic Specks to make One of the small Dried Clump... These Clumps fall apart if I applied pressure to them... Just turning them around in the Plastic Capsule breaks them up into tiny specks... It's why I've been calling it Gold Dust... It's actually smaller than Dust...lol...
