Taking a Look at Some of the Most Valuable Silver Coins

For the first eighteen years after 1776 the united States of America used Spanish coins. As these were readily available. Also for not being of Great Britain money after our separation.
From George Washington's idea of the United States having a mint came about the first silver coin of the united States, from the U.S. Mint, the Flowing Hair Dollar in 1794.

These first U.S. silver dollars were 90%, like they were last century, with 0.7735 troy ounces of silver. These were traded evenly with Spanish silver dollars which were 93% fine and contained 0.8831 of silver.

This very first example of a United States silver dollar serves as example of money debasement from this very early moment in history which has been further debased by the unconstitutional Federal Reserve with an expired license about eleven years ago.

In 2013 one of these coins sold for $10 million dollars.

Next there is the Draped Bust Half-Dollar of 1797 which sold for $1,527,500 in an auction in May of 2015 which was graded in MS-66 condition.

Here is an example of a 15 stars small eagle reverse:

Only 934 “small eagle” Draped Bust Half-Dollars were minted in 1796, while 3,000 were produced the following year. Nevertheless, 1797s command a higher market value. In a May 2015 auction, a 1796 Draped Bust Half-Dollar sold for $822,500; while a 1797 sold for $1,527,500. Both coins were graded MS-66.
