Afternoon everyone……
I got an e-mail the other day on a new release for the Silvertowne Mint’s “Legendary Warriors” series from my go to on line bullion dealer Monument Metals.
This is the ninth release of the series which is Hannibal. This round does not disappoint at all. It has a great design and the detail on it is fantastic as well.
If you haven’t really been participating in this series. So far the releases are:
Eric Bloodaxe
Julius Caesar
Achilles
Alexander the Great
Genghis Khan
Geronimo
Joan of Arc
Spartacus
All of these rounds have been well done.
Here is some information on the new release directly from Monument Metals website:
The 1 oz Hannibal .999 Fine Silver Round pays tribute to Hannibal Barca, a famed Carthaginian general who was known for his exceptional tactical skills throughout the Punic Wars. This round, which is made from one troy ounce of .999 pure silver, combines historical significance with intricate artistry. For history buffs and collectors who appreciate cultural heritage conveyed via exquisite craftsmanship, it's a great addition.
The obverse of this remarkable silver round depicts Hannibal, dressed in commanding attire and crowned with a dramatic plume. A lion’s pelt draped across his shoulders and a trident in hand emphasize his strength and fearless leadership. The background illustrates the ruins of ancient Carthage, a nod to the historical context of his campaigns.
The reverse features a stunning display of weaponry, symbolizing the art of war and the resourcefulness of great warriors. Detailed craftsmanship brings this scene to life, making it a true work of numismatic art.
Now for the round….

!LADYThe silver rounds are well made from what I have seen you show us so far, @silverd510! Each silver round doesn't merely represent tools of conflict; it embodies the very essence of the art of war... (except for Joan of Arc).

Speaking of the Art of War, I'd expect the ancient Military genius Sun Tzu to be included in this series. If not then he should be in the Scottsdale series.
