Afternoon everyone ….
Today I want to share with you a “trap purchase”. While the pictures look very juicy to anyone interested, what you get will ABSOLUTELY leave you feeling cheated.
What I’m talking about is eBay sellers who are trying to sell bank rolls of Morgan silver dollars. They claim they are sealed original bank rolls.
I’m not going to share any of the sellers information, but I will share these pictures from various listings.
First off 70% of all Morgan silver dollars ever produced never left the canvas bank bags they went in to.
Second who in their right mind would ever sell a roll of unsearched Morgan silver dollars will a “CC” showing on the end and not open it. Half of the “CC” minted Morgans are key dates worth thousands of dollars, and some worth tens of thousands of dollars. That’s like having a winning lottery ticket and never cashing it.
If you don’t believe what I am writing check all the people on YouTube that have live opened them to find out the only “CC” was the end one. It’s a common date “CC” and the rest are common mass produced $30 Morgans. They take the best two looking coins and place them at the ends, then use a roll closer to seal it back up to look untouched. The rolls are old so wear they say is normal.
If you want beautiful Morgan silver dollars there are plenty available out there. Buy one that has nice detail and eye appeal and you will never go wrong.
Me personally I will only buy raw numismatic coins in person, because I want to see the coin before I hand over my hard earned money. There are too many shady people using the current technology to scam people by enhancing photos, or removing defects on them.
Most of you do not collect numismatic coins and just stack newly minted pieces. But just in case you ever want to dive into collecting, this is valuable information. Hell there are so many newly minted coins being faked now through Temu and other Chinese sellers that I would really recommend staying with a reputable dealer on line or in person.
If it’s to good to be true, it’s fake!!!!

Fake coins on Temu?
Now this is a new one😂😂😭
At the same time that you published an article about fraudulent sellers, I published an article about fraudulent buyers. One must be careful.

I've seen those rolls many times and have the same sentiments. Most Morgan dollars never left the bags so how did they end up in some supposedly "bank" roll of dollars. Scam artists are everywhere! It's getting harder to buy online as more unscrupulous sellers are appearing, especially anything from China!
