I guess I get it, they made the case a non-working facsimile of an original Rubik's cube. Then they put that cube in an even bigger box to hold it. Of course the coin itself is in a custom plastic aritite as well. Three layers of protection!
Let's bust it out.
I love the repeating cube background and the silver is antiqued, which I love. I'm not a huge fan of colorized silver, but on this coin it's minimal and I think it looks great.
Then there is the 24k gold plated inner circle, post and moving cube replica. Classy 😎
The reverse is nice too, I like that there is no color on the reverse and the effigy of Chuckie is nice and small. I can just pretend it Ernő Rubik, the inventor of Rubik's Cube
They even show you how to solve it!
This is a cool concept coin for sure, but I bought this one purely to flip, so now I wait a year or two and keep checking ebay. They only made 3000 of these and the current going rate on ebay is $50+ more than I paid (which was $189), so once this sells out on the few online dealer sites that still have it I expect the value to increase to at least $300.

Yeah, that's the thing I thought too. If I can't flip it then it's pretty awesome to have. My kids can flip it on the Rubik's Cube 100th anniversary. Chaching!
