Silver Round or Piece of Candy?

I was digging through the stack about a month ago, looking for that perfect piece of silver to give my secret Santa recipient when I came across this beauty.

If you have not seen one of these before it is an Engelhard round still in the plastic from the mint!
I'm not totally sure but I believe I got this from @thedamus. If I remember correctly he had a strip of about eight of these rounds and he sold or traded a few of them.

Engelhard silver is legendary and it seems to have it's own culture around it. In fact, https://allengelhard.com/ has just about every piece of silver minted by Engelhard cataloged.

So, I had this set aside as the gift for my secret Santa while I kept a lookout on their blog for any clues as to what they might want. I ended up finding something online that I think fits the person just perfectly so I did not send this round away. I don't mind saying so either as my recipient will not know who their gift is from 🎅🤶

I have not received my secret Santa gift yet, but I'm sure it will show up soon. Well, unless it's coming from Canada xD ☠️

That is very cool! A 1982 sealed in plastic! Those are expensive and hard to find, that's awesome!
