I have long had the opinion that we should end welfare. Mostly due to working with the poor. Throwing money at them just creates more poor. Which many believe is politicians actual goal.

But, what we should do is provide free minimum housing, minimum food and minimum clothing for everyone.

If you are hungry, walk to the neighborhood cafeteria where you can eat the menu of the day. This would be less costly than WIC and food stamps programs.

We should build minimum housing, such as a lockable room that is about twice as big as a mattress. If you are homeless, you walk to your neighborhood tiny housing block and ask for a room. This will save tons of money compared to section 8.

So, save tons of money, and actually provide a safety net.

Yeah i prefer free food kitchens, medicaid and large dormitories...no section 8.

Who will clean up the drug needles, vomit, and bed bugs in these homes?

My current plans, and yes i know how destructive the poor are on housing, is to build the rooms out of light weight concrete, heated/cooled through radiant heating/cooling pipes in the wall. So, that you are able to open up the door and pressure wash the whole of the building.

But, it may be better to promote competitions of room cleanliness.

Well, it is no worse than cleaning up after the homeless.
