I was watching TV today after lunch and a skateboard content called my attention. It is a project to build the very first skateboard park in Pakistan. The place is very new to skateboarding... Skateboarding is less than 10 years old in Pakistan.
The lack of public spaces to practice skateboarding makes this project something very important, especially for the development of young people.
Just like any other sport, skateboarding helps to improve physical, social, and emotional health. The skate community is strong worldwide and teaches important things to the people involved.

Salad Days of Skateboarding - Pakistan
Salad Days of Skateboarding is a 501c(3) nonprofit based in Los Angeles that operates globally by visiting developing and underserved skateboarding communities to partner with local community leaders to donate equipment and providing mentorship programming.
Salad Days focuses its support on skateboarding communities who do not have access to equipment and offers continued programming guidance for them to grow an inclusive skateboarding community in accordance with our values of inclusivity and sustainability.
Wonders Around the World
Wonders Around the World is an international and independent nonprofit organization built to help make skateboarding accessible worldwide, mainly by helping develop skateparks in areas of the world where they are not present. By developing these public and free spaces, they wish to empower and provide their local partners with the continuous support needed for them to form their own organizations, and independently and successfully manage the facilities.
Skate Pakistan
Skate Pakistan is a nationwide community outreach organization aimed at connecting, mentoring, and promoting skateboarders in Pakistan. They have established skateboarding crews in Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi. They also operate in liaison between international social skateboarding organizations and the local communities, developing equitably distributed programs for their charitable activities.
Skate Pakistan also holds workshops to teach the basics of skateboarding, connecting with others and finding suitable places to skate. Skate Pakistan and Salad Days have been partnering together since spring of 2021.
In February, 2022, Salad Days of Skateboarding and Skate Pakistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chairman of Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) in Lahore, granting space to develop the first skatepark in Pakistan.
A 1,500 square meter space was offered in Bagh-e-Jinnah Park, situated in central Lahore.
