So I have been watching Esacaflowne recently and I got super inspired to draw Van and Hitomi xD
I feel like there is a shortage of Escaflowne fanart out there, so most likely I will be making more fanart of this in the future. This way hopefully more people will be curious about it and watch it.
I don't really hear people talk about Escaflowne nowadays , so I feel like I need to rectify that somehow... maybe xD
I am pretty sure it is one of the best anime's out there~ So check it out! ^^ plz
Anyway here is the fast sketch I made of Hitomi and Van~
And here you can see the process of the sketch~
I am attempting this gif of the different stages of the artwork compiled together for you to see all in one go...
Let me know what you think.
Cheers!

Ooohh!
Maid-chan is happy to see something Escaflowne-related!
Escaflowne is an anime from way before Maid-chan was born, but it has aged good, despite the noses.
The incredible mix of genres and the even more incredible sound by the anime-music-queen Kanno herself makes it rewatchable again and again!
I am so happy to see another Escaflowne Fan out there ^^
I agree~ It has aged very well.
(xD lol my brother and I used to make jokes about the noses.... but the movie art is amazing, noses and all~)
I am so glad you mentioned Yoko Kanno!!! Escaflowne was the anime that got me into anime, all because of the great soundtrack and songs (and of course the story and animation).
I really like how anime uses music to their advantage. I definitely have a soft spot for good soundtracks~
