I've got fairly good skills in various areas. I've done plenty of DIY, including wiring a couple of houses. I speak another language fairly well and am working on one more. I play several instruments to some degree, but not professionally. For my job I've got a lot of programming experience.
I hope that today's kids don't depend too much on 'AI' tools. Those ought to be our servants to do the boring stuff like filling in tax forms. As others have said, I don't want a machine to make music so I can do the ironing.
I've heard about AI getting into things like audio mixing, but a human has to decide if it sounds good. It could also do some of your 3d modelling work, but you will have the ideas for it. I tend to think that all this image generation stuff is a wrong direction when we have so many creative people. I've heard some machine generated music that is impressive, but it's going to lack soul.
These are strange times and people need to have the skills to live in it, especially when the tech goes wrong.
