Dare to be scared

in #skydive7 years ago (edited)

As a first post I would like to start off by telling about last summer when I tried something new which forever changed me. I skydived in my own parachute. Was I like a Gopro hero throwing myself out of an airplane doing the hang loose sign? Surely not. I was so scared that I felt that I would throw up anytime. Before going in to airplane I went to the bathroom five times. However, once I threw myself out of the plane, everything went so fast and I can hardly remember what happened. And I made probably the worst skydive known to man. What I did remember was however the opening of my chute and the feeling of someone pulled me up and saved me from certain death. I was after that a free-flying bird in the sky until landed somewhat ungracious but safe. So afterwards, I did not continue this new hobby but nowadays I only need to see someone skydive on youtube or where ever and I get the same feeling in my stomach. Although a little more pleasant now. The hero is not the coolest but the one who dare to be scared. Go out and do something that scares you.

See the video of the jump. here:
