Looking back at the mountain we just leaped from, mid parachute flight.
it's hard to comprehend the size of the mountains we jump from even when still 1500 feet off the ground under parachute, from both the top and bottom you can understand the sheer massiveness of these cliffs but once you fly away they don't seem so huge because we don't realize just how far away from they we are now.
it's amazing to see earths structure from so many different perspectives and try to fully wrap my mind around the size and scale of the region.
one of my favorite parts of base jumping is after the thrill of streaking down a mountain, deploying my parachute and slowly flying through the landscape is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world, probably because it follows one of the most chaotic.
