We all have trouble sleeping from time to time. Sometimes things are stressful at work or at home, while other times you might have an illness that keeps you up. These things are not considered insomnia. Insomnia occurs when your sleeplessness becomes a pattern. It can have multiple causes, and there are many different ways to remedy it. One of those ways is sleep hypnosis.
More than a third of American adults aren’t getting the recommended 7 hours of sleep each night. Insomnia can stem from stress, poor sleep habits, mental health problems, travel or work schedules that are irregular, and even having the wrong things in your diet. Sleeping pills can be helpful in getting your sleeping patterns back on track when you are willing to change your sleeping routine, but really changing your sleeping routine and sticking with it is the most important thing to do.
Sleep hypnosis can help you fall asleep and get more restful sleep, but only if you are responsive to hypnotic suggestion. Only about 17% of the population is completely unresponsive to hypnotic suggestion, which means that the vast majority of the population can gain some benefit from this exercise. What’s more, nearly 60% of people say they found the practice to be beneficial, and 81% of people who were able to use the practice gained deeper sleep as a result.
