"Steemland" - A STEEM inspired painting! 🎨

I'm super grateful to Steemit for helping to reignite the passion I have for my art career! 🙏 As Facebook slowly ate away at my once huge reach, I started to wonder what I'd do to keep going. I had achieved my dream - to earn my living as an artist, doing what I love full time! And then, all of a sudden things changed. It became harder and harder to reach people. I began feeling angry and frustrated. Afraid and depressed...

And then I found Steemit!

At first the whole "crypto thing" confused me and frankly, seemed too good to be true. I just focused on sharing my art and saw people were visiting my website. Soon Steemit was driving more traffic to my website than Facebook! Then I learned more about how the "crypto thing" worked. I felt something I hadn't in a long time - hope. I felt like there WAS something I could do to keep pursuing art full time. I began to spend more time on Steemit, and less time on Facebook. I started to make some connections with some pretty cool people. Some people even started to purchase my art!

So I decided to do a painting based on Steem/Steemit! It's 16 x 20 inches, and it's going to be in my funky 80's/video game inspired style. The first step is to create an outline of the main features - starting with the Steem logo! Next I'll create outlines for other funky design elements. Then it'll be time for color!
