few days needed break from computer anouncement +new dada art

in #slothicorn7 years ago

hi guys will have to write this post fast, I am taking a break from all screens because today I had a very bad experience could not see clearly with my left eye (moving watermark like effect) and also my left arm got numb and a tingling sensation in the tips of my fingers, for two hours until I decided to try to sleep, fortunately after the nap I could see clearly.
I am also going in a trip to France but was planning to work in the evening from my hotel room, but now I will really take this break seriously ...

Since this happened while I was painting on dada I will share with you guys the latest artworks posted there..
will not post the entire visual conversations, but really you should check the site for them because they are amazing :)

continuing on @martytan slothy doodle I did this

and the conversation continues with @rubenalexander's replay :)

also yesterday I participated in the best visual conversation (I think it was one of the first on dada and it was the cover for the official site link)

it is a self portrait (with my new slothicorn hair color) in a fantasy travel - together with the other DaDa artists :)

I love http://dada.nyc I have been trying to slow myself down as I could draw all day on there. Your drawings are magnificent as always.

I saw you have a lot of works and you joined ... one or two days ago, I stopped myself from opening the conversations because I cannot stop myself either :)

I hope you will be fine soon
have a good day

Yes she will be fine by God grace. I am so sorry for the experience you are passing through now. I pray for the perfect recovery for you. And your artwork is amazing @alexandravart.

These pictures are amazing as always...but i am more interested in your health, my dear. Really sorry. Work and stretching yourself is really taking it toll. Really sorry. You need the break and the rest, even though i will miss you, i know you will come back better and stronger. So sorry dear. Get the needed help you need please. Stay strong.

Hi @alexandravart wonderful post you have here thanks for the share

Oh! Sorry about your health, I'm happy to hear about your improved health, please take more time out to rest... Your work is still as beautiful as usual. Save trip to France, I will surely miss you.

So beautiful as always, sorry to hear about your health. And thanks once more for the books, I've been feeding on them.. Smile
I wish you save trip to France.

about your eye: I have this, or something similar, happening the odd time also. Tiredness could be a reason, but I found exposure to chemicals also triggers it for me. On top of that I got so called "floaters" ever since I got hit in the eye with a tennis ball.

ouch - tennis ball - "floaters"= "transparent dancing worms :P-lately did not paint in oils, so no turpentine, and I have the odorless type anyway ,I get sick from the smell (in a very different way)
this is the first time it happened to me and I am inclined to associate it to the computer time -is gone now , so I can turn back to my reckless self

I paint with acrylics - odorless terp or not, it is not the smell but the chemical: carbon monoxide is odorless too, but it can kill you!
Yes, eye strain from staring at the monitor can cause it also. Which reminds me to shut this devil machine down and join the living again!

He he it is an adictive monster that can live so many incapable to function in its apsence :) but could be useful and helps us connect in a different way

Take care of yourself! I had this issue start last year - in my left eye. Too much time staring at the drawings on my drawing desk followed by my computer screen gave me eye strain. I've had to limit my computer time now, and get glasses. Rest your eyes.

yes I think too is the computer time because this is not happening to me from traditional painting :) and now is hard to limit that because DaDa is addictive :))

I know- so many drawings to reply to.

What's wrong with your health, I hope you're better. I am new to the platform and in search of good art I came across your posts. You have a good taste of art. Thank you for the effort to continue showing us art.

Welcome, I am sure you will find amazing art here to following and share your opinion about 🙂

I saw this lovely work on dada the other day and was going to 'reply'
but I couldn't maybe I'm a dada minnow? Not sure, but I admired it there and am now admiring it here! :) Lovely!

I could reply to ither drawings right after someone replied to my drawing, I don't know exactly how it works but as soon as I get home from my vacation I will reply to one of your drawings so you can join our conversations there :)

No worries, enjoy your trip and take care of yourself I hope you feel and get better!

The issue with your eyes sounds serious. I had some weird vision problems in the past, but with no other symptoms. Did you see a doctor?

Love your dada drawings. I can't get my wacom to respond properly and I'm helpless with a mouse. Can't believe you did those with the tools provided.

you live in Bucharest, right? Just checked that on the map, as I'll be in the southeast corner of Serbia in June... still over 500 km. There will be an artcolony by a famous Slowenian art collector. I wonder if it might be good for you to visit us there for opportunities and networking. Is there a website, where one can see more of your traditional work all at once?

Another amazing piece. Love your work.
