Paying with Smartcard in the WokingDead new establishment in Cancun, Mexico. thanks to @ArcherBullseye(telegram,discord) from https://smartcashpay.com/smartcard/.

Wow!
I doesn't look very secure to me. What is stopping someone from having software installed on their device logging QR codes and passwords? It would be far better if it required to approve payment on your mobile device. To not rely on notoriously insecure public wifi, mobile data or to not give away your phone number (SMS confirmation), phones could communicate via NFC or app on customer phone could generate for that particular payment unique QR code which would serve as 1 time only pin code for that transaction.
The way they built SmartPay is way more secure than most POS systems out there which have $1Billion or more fraud all the time.
For that, a device must be rooted, which SmartPay detects and blocks usage. You can't run SmartPay on a rooted device. As for screen recorders, they can't record payment QR or screens. Even if they did there is no PIN animation feedback.
The reason to have a SmartCard in the first place is so that you don't need to have a phone with you, or any specific application and still be able to pay. They will add in the future payment QRs, similar method to what's been around that you can pay with any device wallet.
Yea I forgot you have to root android to record individual touches of the screen. I think it would be still possible to scam customer with fake app and I am not gonna continue to not give anyone any ideas how to be human garbage even more :D
After you scan your card it will show the name of the card on screen, a fake app would not have that capability. You chose the name of the card when you create it on the web and only you know it, a fake app would not be able to show that information to you. Before you enter you PIN you see the name of the card in RED, so you know you are using a legit app before entering your PIN!
