Great to see your son buying a laptop through the money that he made from SmartCash. It is really important to teach kids about financial sovereignty, and personally I think that empowering children to earn their own money is always positive.
I was back in my old school a few weeks back giving a talk about cryptocurrencies to a couple of hundred 12-18 year olds, and I was really shocked to see how many of them already had a solid grasp on blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies and some FinTech stuff. Some of them were already holding their own cryptocurrencies! I don't have any SmartCash at the moment, but I'm planning on buying in over the next few weeks. I'll donate a few dollars worth to the address when I have it!

Digital Ocean had a service downtime and when it was up again looks like my startup scripts started the bot as well. I had disabled the bot as it was not adding much value. I am working on something that will be a value add to the posts about coins on Binance. Once it is done will get the bot active again. Lets hope the value add is sufficient enough to win back the reputation again :)

Thanks luke, I informed Smartcash support, but the issue appears to be on the Cryptopia site. They stopped trading the Smart/BTC pair as you know. They have a 30 hour wait for withdraws... I attempted a tester transfer yesterday morning of 10 Smart and it has not gone through yet. (And it is now 17:15 PST the next day).
Cryptopia states that all Smart needs to be moved off of the exchange by middle March or because they no longer have the trading pair...
It's not a huge amount in USD's, at this time it is $810 or so. But still that is quite a few trips to the grocery store and gas station...
Wanna congratulate your son on getting a laptop from his Smartcash investment. its great to see that the blockchain technology has gained roots in your family and feel jealous of your son gaining this knowledge at his tender age. My little Jane also accumulating SmartCash as her earning (she's four going five this June)... she name her address Jane's Bank. My bad I don't have a copy of her address, her password is keep by her I dont know it either. That happened to me also on two of my nodes. Before you restart it, double check the actual running process with the cli smartnide status command. If it’s running and fine, it might just be the wallet that is wrong it may just require a restart (I unfortunately clicked the start which puts them at the back of the queue for rewards). The latest wallet release may fix this.
It ended up requiring a restart unfortunately and I missed out on 4 days or so with it because I had a plan to not pay attention to it so it would be like Christmas when I opened the wallet up. Hahahah. There is a lot more competition with almost 10,000 SmartNodes at this point.

I just rechecked SmartCash on CMC website and I find it a highly buyable coin right now. I was thinking of investing some of my SBD balance in some decent project and I think SmartCash is one such project. It won't hurt to buy some. Binance listing will be huge so there's a great incentive for holders if they choose to vote for it.
I'll decide about my move after weighing my options. SmartCash is one of the coins I would surely like to have in my portfolio.

and the price now is low
although i do not plan to sell or trade it, I just put it in wallet for montlhy rewards,
although I know I can make more smartcash via trading but i left it for monthly rewards
I do have binance but i never tried to trade nor put some smartcash there
