My smart node, just switched from Expired out of nowhere after working perfectly for months (or at least since the last big updates).

As it turns out there was a new update v.1.2.4 that they announced at 1906h by the team. You can read the announcement here. https://smartcash.cc/smartcash-v1-2-4-release/
This isn't a mandatory update, but it's suggested and based on the conversations over on discord this seams be the culprit in all the "EXPIRED" nodes. Of course remember you always need to go back to your VPS to check the status and don't just trust the monitor bots or your wallet.
The interesting thing is that lots of people seam to be getting slightly different messages from their wallets, their vps and the bots.
I've been watching the chats closely and the current consensus seams to be, don't rush to update if your nodes are working fine, but if for some reason you are hit the the expired status then go ahead and update from your VPS and try to trouble shoot the problem there. Most people are noticing that there nodes are stuck on a certain block. In my case I'm stuck on block 570034, and even though I've tried a few restarts from the my VPS it doesn't seam to be re syncing again.

The one thing is to try to avoid the temptation to restart alias from your wallet, as that is a sure way to reset your timer in the que for your rewards. You VPS needs to be fully synced before restarting anyways, so please avoid trying this.
A couple people have reports their status has reverted to enabled by doing nothing, so I think it's likely best to hold tight before you do anything to drastic.
Hope it helps and give you some more resources to trouble shoot your node if your status changes to EXPIRED in the coming days.
I've tried everything I can tonight and hoping I wake up to the status changed to "ENABLED" message from the monitor bot. If not I'll head back to the chat and see what smarter people that me think I should do to try and fix it.

@phelimint I must be very blessed! All mine have been doing great. I am on 1.2.3 on my VPS and on 1.2.4 on my local wallet. I will get around upgrading them soon. But like you I believe if its not broken don't fix it!
Fantastic article here. Two of mine just showed expired. I went into my desktop wallet and they still seem to show active. I will look more I to this tom. Thanks @phelimint
